LITTER TRAINING THE LITTLE ONES

Bringing your new cat home is an exciting, and sometimes daunting, time for all. The best thing you can do is treat your new friend like an important guest. To help them settle in, create a safe and cosy space just for them. They’ll need comfy bedding, plenty of food and fresh water, toys and a large litter box.

DOING THE LITTER SWITCHAROO

Making the switch to Breeder’s Choice? Great choice! Cats are very particular about where they do their business, so ease into it with a gradual transition.

AVOIDING S****Y SITUATIONS

At times, you may find your cat is having some toileting issues.  If your cat’s healthy like Ginger, there may be some other  reasons they may be avoiding the litter tray.

·       It isn’t clean enough…

·       They don’t like the tray – it’s too big, too small, too deep, not hooded…

·       They don’t like the location – place it against a wall in a quiet place…

·       They’re anxious about a routine change and are marking their territory…

Cats can often  feel vulnerable when they’re on the litter trays so check out our top tips for avoiding S****Y situations with Ginger and Dr Claire Jenkins

THE BEST PLACE TO DO THEIR BUSINESS

A cat litter tray defines your cat’s space as it gives them a sense of independence while they enjoy a moment in private. Keeping a clean tray, creating a  safe and comfortable place for their litter tray is important.

THINGS CATS DO

Lets be honest, cats can do some strange, annoying and funny things at times, so we decided to capture Ginger doing some of them. Enjoy

IS YOUR CAT EATING LITTER?

When you switch litters, your cat may paw or even taste the new litter. This is weird, wonderful and completely normal. Thankfully, Breeder’s Choice Cat Litter is made from 99% recycled paper, water and hot air with no nasties like additives or chemicals, so it’s completely safe to sample.
